Experience Levels

Beginner- No Experience Required.

All Levels- Some Experience Required:  Bird, Comfortable with Inversions, Ability to work slowly.  You have taken some basics classes and have an introductory vocabulary of poses. Solo Practitioners have some Movement Experience.

Intermediate- Foundational Skill Set Required:   Star, Side Star, Cartwheel, Croc, Reverse Star, Shoulderstand, L-basing standard transitions, basic understanding of counterbalances, ability to say no and self assess.

Solo Acro Fit – Cate Spinner

Monday 12:30am

This class aims to keep you in shape, with fitness training, core conditioning, and inverted fun. Inversions are used to help you master knowing where you are in space at all times. Come on your own, or train with flatmates and friends to laugh and stay fit together. Take this class anywhere: your livingroom, garden, or on your balcony! Get ready to smile and sweat!

All levels. Beginner friendly. No experience required.

Thai Massage – Joey Stafford-Abbott & Mylène Leclair

Monday 7:00pm

Thai yoga massage is a traditional healing system. Unlike other forms of massage, there are no oils or lotions used and the recipient remains fully clothed. The concept of metta (loving kindness) is an integral part of this practice. The recipient lies on a mat or firm mattress in a variety of positions during the course of the massage.

Every week, participants will learn some new techniques and apply them in a guided massage sequence. Each partner will give and receive.

All levels. Beginner friendly. No experience required.

FUNdamentals – Joey Stafford-Abbott & Mylène Leclair

Monday 8:30pm

This playful class focuses on trust and teamwork and is delivered in the classic AcroYoga Montreal style. Through a series of games and step by step progressions, participants explore new moves, refine important concepts, and have the time of their lives. This class is like a good phở soup, we’ll give you options to add as much spice as you want.

Beginner Flow – Karoliina Lämsä 

Thursday 11:00am

This class is all about creative flows, softness and playfulness with a mindful touch. Whether you’re new to acroyoga, or have practiced for a while, we will challenge your balance, boost your creativity and help you tune in with your partner. Join in to cover the basics of acroyoga in a creative way, taking inspiration from dance, movement, handstand training and yoga.

All levels. Beginner friendly. No experience required.

Handstands – Craig Hobbs

Tuesday 7:30pm

This class will prepare the body for inversions through a thorough warm up. The skills section will focus on body alignment and balance. We will then challenge our endurance, before caring for, and cooling, the body. A hard floor (or plank of wood to put on the ground)and a wall clear of obstructions are recommended for this class. You may be asked to bring other props specific to each session.

Movement, Strength, and Mobility – Bruno Garrote

Wednesday 11:00am

Bruno offers exercises and flows to explore and expand core strengthening and mobility (strength + flexibility). Develop your body consciousness and vocabulary by improving your creative autonomy in static and dynamic situations. In these solo classes Bruno provides tools for people to move in a wider spectrum, create their own flow, and connect with their sensitivity.

Tipping Points – Jill Campbell & Aaron Levy

Wednesday 7:30pm

Here’s where you get to explore just how many ways two bodies can support one another. Creative ledges, delicate tipping points and surprising balances will be explored in this class, under the careful and experienced guidance of these two teachers.

AcroMovement – AcroSeeds Valeria Magialli & Francesco Semino

Thursday 11:00am

In these classes we will LEAN. Leaning in and out of poses and movements creates a better understanding of the body structures and target muscular activation necessary for the pose or movement, while maintaining softness and grace. Creative process will also be integrated and built from the floor up, from solo exploration to our partner AcroYoga practice. Bring your playfulness, open mind and curiosity, personality and be ready to laugh…this is gonna be taught in English with a very Italian accent 😉

Yoga for YOU – Andreann Duquet

Unroll your mat for Yoga specifically designed for acroyogis. We will be flowing, stretching and strengthening mindfully in order to release the stress, the tensions you might have from your Acroyoga classes and to become better aware of your proprioception. Enhance your personal practice and become a mindful practitioner.

Pop Flows and Intro to Pops – Maren Hill & Noah Vegh-Gaynor

Thursday 7:30pm

Whether you are already a pops lover, pops-curious or just trying out AcroYoga, we got you! Noah and Maren share their love of AcroYoga and pops through some funky flows. We’ll walk through fun transitions, safe progressions, and, of course, pops, and include variations to challenge all skill levels!

Handstand Conditioning – Reno Gorman

Friday 11:00am

60 minutes of conditioning to foster the strength, balance, flexibility, and endurance needed to balance upside down on your hands. Reno will guide you through various drills and progressions to prep the body for handstands, whether that’s against the wall for support, pressing up with control, or working on the one arm handstand. Get feedback on your alignment and technique so you know what to focus on your personal practice.

Required Props: Wall, blanket or towel for sliding

Suggested Props if you got em: Blocks, exercise bands, ankle weight

Tune in to Tune Up – Paul Bui & Dan Plehal

Friday 8:30pm

Tune in and get curious about technique. This class will focus on refining our acro practice through conditioning drills & sequences, moving with intentionality, and reinforcing effective motor patterns. We will build a strong foundation for ourselves as a means to develop efficiency in our movements and unlock new levels in our practice. This class focuses on the skills in the fundamental skill set, which are prerequisites for all intermediate classes.

Solo Stretch & Strengthen – Sasa Chian

Saturday 5:30am

Let us get curious and investigate movement patterns; its efficiency, tempo, aesthetics. What happens between the mechanical rising and falling of the ribs when you allow the body to be guided by breath? This is an invitation to get juicy in our skin-muscle-bones with counterbalances, asymmetrics, low flying and soft landing.

All levels. Some experience required.

Washing Machines –  Leandro Falcon & Luciana Benavides

Saturday 11:00am

Luli and Lean will share creative washing machines with a yogi perspective. That means you will focus on smoothness, comfort, and breath, all the while challenging your edges. There will be core training and preparation for the body so you can feel strong and agile in movement. Get ready to have fun with your partner, spinning and rolling in space.

Solo Acro Boost – Monica Abruzzi

Sunday 2:00pm

In this class we’ll explore movements that are designed to help support your acro practice.  Building a solid foundation as a solo practitioner is vital in injury prevention and maintaining a long term/lifelong practice. You can use all of these techniques as a warm up right before training acro, or as a general daily practice to maintain and sustain a healthy, functional body and simultaneously improve your stability and mobility.

AcroYoga Toolkit – Jill Campbell & Aaron Levy

You and your partner will explore a wide range of AcroYoga possibilities in this class. Jill and Aaron will guide you in poses, balances, transitions, and counterbalances that will challenge you no matter what your experience level is. They may even make you laugh from time to time.
